When members of the public purchase turf they often have an expectation that once it is laid they will have the home lawn equivalent of the MCG or Royal Melbourne Golf club.
Turf can arrive at your house in various states and the season when it is harvested is one of the determining factors.
All Instant Turf varieties should be laid on the day of delivery. Turf farms go to great lengths to harvest at an appropriate time the day before delivery and on some occasions very early in the morning on the day of delivery. Fresh is best and if you leave the turf rolled up in the pile it will heat up and on hot days cook to the point of no return.
Turf farms expect that you lay it the day it arrives. A note advising of that is on most Turf Farm websites.
Follow the preparation and laying instructions that you receive or note them from the companies website and your expectations for a great lawn are partly on their way. Other factors such as watering and maintaining the lawn correctly will see your expectations fulfilled and a happy new lawn owner and customer achieved. That is our Great Expectation.
