Turf Varieties

Sir Grange Zoysia - Available in 2019

From a few sprigs of a new Zoysia variety our group has now expanded the production of Sir Grange Zoysia to a level that has recently allowed Anco to plant a large area for commercial sales.

Our Victorian trial of the variety has been in the ground for over twelve months and with the various mowing, fertilizing and wear trials we have subjected the new grass to at Anco, we are confident that Sir Grange has a place in our southern state.

Sir Grange is a fineleaf, shade and sun tolerant grass that exhibits good drought tolerance.

Capable of being mown short we expect Sir Grange to perform well in home lawns, golf fairways, tees and surrounds and parklands. Sir Grange will be grown under strict conditions to ensure genetic purity and will be grown only by turf farms that are AUSGAP certified of which Anco is one.

The release of the new Lawn Solutions Australia Turfgrass variety Sir Grange for the Victorian and South Australian retail markets has changed from the original planned release date of Spring 2017.

Due to  the dynamic nature of farming, LSA turf producers of which Anco is founding member, were not able to cultivate ground and plant on their desired date due to long periods of wet weather. The result of this is that saleable stock will not be released to the general public until 2019. The planned release for both Sir Grange in all states for Spring 2017 is still on track.

Grub Free Guarantee

Anco’s Sir Walter is treated with Acelypryn to ensure grub and bug free turf for 3 months from delivery.
This product is the latest innovation in the control of grubs in your lawn. Traditionally, to treat for grubs in your lawn you would have to spray several potentially toxic chemicals on the leaf of the plant.
Acelepryn® however is a non toxic insect killer, which when sprayed onto the leaves is absorbed and moves upwards within the plant, where it is then digested by the grub, disrupts its feeding patterns, and eventually causes it to starve. Acelepryn® is NOT a poison and is safe for your whole family & your pets.
We believe so much in Acelepryn® we will guarantee that if you find turf damage caused by grubs within three months of delivery of your turf we will re-spray with Acelepryn®.

Order 50 square metre or more of Sir Walter DNA Cerfied turf, and receive a “Loving Your Lawn” book, 5kg bag of lawn starter, and a Plantmark Trade Pass. Hurry, limited time offer! (This is for retail customers only)
