Anco Turf Swan Hill – In July 2018, Anco commenced work on their newly acquired farm in Swan Hill. The first planting of DNA Certified Sir Walter took place in September 2018

In July 2018, Anco commenced work on their newly acquired farm in Swan Hill. The first planting of DNA Certified Sir Walter took place in September 2018. Although the first crop could have been harvested earlier the Sod harvester went to work in October 2019 and a vibrant green harvest of Australia’s largest selling grass made its way to Melbourne overnight.

The new farm has been planted to DNA Certified Sir Walter, a new variety of Kikuyu and Tif Tuf Bermuda.

Our farm Manager Giles Johns reports that “this winter the farm has so far had 22 frosts, yet the Buffalo turf still has a green tinge to it under the tips”.

Ryan Cotter the General Manager said “The environment of Swan Hill is ideal for growing turf and will provide us with a regular supply of quality turf in the marginal turf production months of winter and early spring when the warm season varieties are slow to produce turf in Melbourne”.

4 and a bit weeks after laying, from start to finish they were great to work with , great customer service, great prices and great product, I dealt with harry, he was a bloody champion!

Thank you.I felt some trepidation i. Preparing and laying a new lawn, but the quality of outcome has exceeded my expectations.Congratulations on the quality of turf and service. I was informed of an 8:00 am delivery and received at 7:55 am.New lawn is one week old and already looking fabulous.

The front and back yards are grassed, the turf is nice, the staff is friendly, and the deliveries are on time.

Second photo is 5 weeks after being laid, cut 1 maybe 2 steps too short but it still looks amazing (tif tuf)Will take another photo in a couple of months when it is fully established and leveled out.I am blown away by how good tif tuf looks, will definitely be using this grass for the next 40 years, looks really elegant/classy ( even though I'm not)I have used Anco on about 4 properties over the last 10 years and have never had any issues.- Great Turf- Fantastic service- Great price.Can't ask for any more than that, keep up the great work Anco. :) my neighbours will be green with envy.
